I love it. Satin stitch emboidery in chinese style makes me silent and relax. A like cotton threads more then all.

I created several designes of clothes and wrote several books about satin stitch embroidery. My free course you can download hee http://www.ann-mary.com/freebies.shtml

This is my satin stitch with viscose threads:

I want to embroider three scripted letters on a teaddy bear’s leather jacket on the back like this one:but i might just embroider it on a regular cotton tshirt for stuffed animals if i can’t find a leather jacket.

I am currently working on a huge tablecloth on which has many different kinds of needlework (cross stitch, satin etc….) however it calls also for a french knot. I have no idea how to do this, please help.

If I wanted to do something like a banner and fill it and then do lettering over top would that be feasible? What kind of stitches might you recommend? I’m thinking it would be difficult either because you’d mess up the fill if you used something like satin, or it would be tough to get the needle through a layer of long short or split stitches…I don’t know, I’m relatively new to embroidery.

Hello,
nice to know you like embroidery too smile
About the satin stitch embroidery technigue I wrote several books and place several classes here http://www.ann-mary.com/freebies.shtml  in PDF. It could be helpful for you, especially the details about needles, fabric, stitches.

About kinds of stitches: cross stitch is more easy technigue, as you do it with small cross it will be beautiful. Cross stitches could cover all surface of a fbric. Satin stitch is a little bit more complicated but more charming and fine style, so I prefer it
