Sitting at the computer and printing documents I asked myself: Did I have a shower today morning or not? I couldn`t remember. As I am still in pyjamas, the answer is “no”...
Today is a gap between yesterday 6-hours lectures and the same tomorrow and even at Saturday. Too many students swarms around me wanted to affirm themes of their graduation works, to many calls and e-mails… It made me crazy. So I meditate to deep green and blue sea, remember how it shining and how the rocks grows.
That sketch I made sitting in Xenia cafe, Paleokastriza. This is so beautiful peaceful place with crystal sea seems as a green glass I love… I saw people jumped from the rocks and did the same. It was the rock about 3 m height (at the left side of the sketch, in the middle). It was so… so strange. I had never done it before, my maximum height was 1,5 m. The point is to jump from 1,5 or 3m is completely the same. Only to have a courage and make the first step. I felt jump as a long moment, but not for my own movement. It seemed as the media - rocks, air and water - changed as floors in a building…
My consciousness was the same - bright point still and the world moved around. It was peripheral feeling how sea huged my body, how green water passed my body through and touched everywhere. ater I saw several Italiand guys jumped from about 7-10 m rocks at the right side of the bay (see it on sketch below). Sure I will do it next summer.
As I remembered the sea I felt a strong desire to paint. But it is the pressure of time! Again pressure of time… But I need to do something with colors.
So I risked and imbued in sea colors my silk bed-clothes. The result is great! Why I didn`t do it before? It`s really beautiful - natural silk gently plays from emerald-green to blue. So today and in nearest future I will sleep covering with sea waves.
Yesterday I did that work. I am really tired today so description will be later. Here it is my work place and the picture:
Sunday is over, it was so beautiful day! I started and have finished a new Gohua picture with several new technigues and instruments… it was the experiment! I`ll publish it later.
Today sunset was pleasant. Now I can see a full moon from my window, so round and in strange orange color. Pity it is not so on the pictures, may be it needs another settings of the camera, who knows.

Oh my god, today is so bright day! I am happpy 
Today it was a strange mix of hard work (6 hours of lectures and no time to break), heavy clouds and as the end of the hard weeka piece of fire red sky I saw before the sunrise. It was amazing light, a breath of fresh nature and suddenly I remember how I worked at Corfu that summer.
It was something special. Being in full relaxation I painted by both hands. The sketch by brush and black ink I did at Paleokastritza and made it colored at the hotel.
I feel a kind of deep relaxation as I worked by left hand. I suspect the left is my principal hand but I was changed to the right in early childhood. So the right is more experianced and I can work more quickly. Working by the left I feel a relaxation and deep existence of the process and feel it more deeply. So the possibility to work by both hands for me is the kind of freedom.
...Several times I did the same here, at Moscow. But every time this is the pressure of time and in spite of tension the right hand is better. I miss my left hand writing and painting, may be it will be next week?..
I am thinking about a seria of big paintings. It needs more time so now I can do small works by aquarel and think about the future during it. My interest points on Chinese Gohua style, mountings and clouds. My friends wanted to study it too and asked me for a step-by-step illustration.
Actually I don`t like to show the process step by step. It seems mechanically calculated, but in real life for me such painting is a meditation process. This is not only lines and colors. I was thinking about several different things during the process, from sensation of depth and height to my future paintings. For my friends this is step-by-step post and you could use it as a master class for your own meditation. Here it is work in progress of "Blue Mountings-I" in Gohua style.
I started this picture before my sliping time just to try it but it was so exciting I couldn`t sleep until I finished it. First of all it was a sketch by gray ink and then I made power lines by dark ink.

I made points by black ink in aqua brush so mountings bacame lively.
The same I did with all mountings. It`s important to make strokes different in wide and direction, strokes should be breathing and moving.
Then it was the time to make the main lines of the mist. It`s seems as a spiral on chinese tradition.
By white wax charcoal I made the points of deep mist.
It was several kinds of charcoals used it the picture - wax, aqua pencils etc.

Mountings generally has grass, trees, bushes or something like that. So I used green water-pecil for it.
I imagine the time around sunrise for that place. So this is the gentle pink color for it.
Next step was a distant part of the panorama.

So it was the last step to make several shadows on mountings and mist.
So the work was completed. Try it, sense it`s fragrance, maditate with the lines and good luck!
Oh my god, from 11:00 AM to 22:00 PM it`s too much! I am deadly tired. The weather is terrible- dark and cold, mixed snow and rain and strong wind. Nevetherless my today students was cute and lectures not bad. I have made 2 pictures during break but didn`t finished it and too much tired now for…. for everything. Tomorrow it will be working day too. Good night!
Everything in the world are growing in a river of Time. Literary everithing - from mountings and rocks to human personality. It growth in different directions and rate and I feel it. This post represents how the picture "Power to Growth" growth step by step
1- First of all it was a power-lines by pencil allow me to feel the idea of the picture and fix it on paper. Usially I avoid detail sketches and do only several lines. After it I made clouds and air on the wet paper. In that work I need to act in comfortable place. So everything for work have to be closer. I used different techniguesfrom classical aquarel colrs to solid woodless aquarel pencils.
2 - Second step was to make the tree. Actually on such pont the picture becames strange and waterworn but it is the normal for aquarel. Nevetherless I always try to pass it soon.
3 - This is the point to make a deep breath because I like it more. I made several details and the tree on the picture begane better.
4 - I started with rocks. This is the thing I likes may be because of nature as Capricorn.
5 - Details of rocks ant then - leaves of the pine-tree. I did it by my make-up brush instead an ordinary pain brush because… because of everything. Make-up brushes is better sometimes.
6 - more datails. Oh, it`s the best part of painting!
7 - More details and my heart become happy and lauthing: I felt the dinamics itself so deeply then the picture started to tell me what to do. This is the best part of my work!
8 - I made the power lines represents directions of growth. How I feel it it`s a mistery, but this is he strong feelings. Actually I feel it better then everything else. Power-lines has deep black color and I made it by special ink with fine brush. This is something close to chinese calligraphy. I felt how the black lines growth, it`s breathing and character, how they communicates with each other and form the network over the colors to show us hidden things under the surface. This is the reason I am an artist, a painter. It is the way to feel more, to understand deeper, to realize hidden things.
Here it is the result! I have to notice something about the history of a painting. Although it seems simple usially this is a kind os soul work. As I paind I understand better something another about the life. All of my picture are symbolical and i can tell a story, several stories as I see it. May be I will tell it next time!
