New Graphics: “The Rising-II”
Author: ANNAmain • Date: 12 October 2010 at 11:01 PM Comments(4)

I`ve finished the next picture in seria of graphics work named "The Rising".

That seria represents the way we growth our personality and soul - by ourselves or as circumstances dictate. Even if it is hard (usially it is!) there is several points to have a rest. After mountings it will be a plateau. We fill it as not a paradise and not a final point, but something misty, unclear and afflictable… but also standing. After a hard ascent without any point for rest a plateau feels different.

One of the hardest moments is the time you top the border from flank to plateau.  That time eveyone feels exhausted and all feelings and intellection are unclear. Thet time seems as the last night hour before  sunrise, and sometimes we feels hopelessness. It`s the effects of  transformation inside so… We have to make an effort to feel the power helps us.

The travelling Saint

As a hopeless devotee of Corfu Island I know St.Spyridon by G.Darrell book and my own experience 2009. So this news is something like St.Spyridon known as Walking Saint travels here to Moscow by himself. It seems as an old friend suddenly be our guest smile

  St Spyridon

The article by Nikita Sumerkin, from here english.ruvr.ru/2010/10/03/23713513.html

In the past week, hundreds of thousands of Russians have visited the Trinity Cathedral of St. Daniel’s Monastery in Moscow, where the relics of Saint Spyridon are currently on display.

The shrine was for the first time delivered to Moscow in 2007, when more than one million and three hundred thousand Russian believers paid tribute to the relics of a bishop-turned-saint, explained the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill. This year, he added, many braved bad weather so as to offer a prayer in front of the relics.

Saint Spyridon is widely venerated for his assistance in healing, settling family conflicts and acquiring Christian love, Patriarch Kirill said. Thousands upon thousands turned to him for help only to see their dreams finally come true, the Patriarch added, praising God’s grace that he says especially emanates from icons  and the relics of the Church-revered saints.

A saint honored in both the Eastern and Western traditions, Spyridon was born in Cyprus in 270 and was known for his great piety. He was venerated for the rare gift of clairvoyance and his ability to cure the sick by prayer. He eventually became Bishop of Tremithous and went down in history after he proved the essence of the Trinity at the First Ecumenical Council in 325.

Using a potsherd, he reportedly illustrated how one single entity could be composed of three unique entities, a metaphor for the Christian doctrine of the Trinity. As soon as Spyridon finished speaking at the Council, the shard is said to have miraculously burst into flame, water dripped on the ground, and only dust remained in his hand. After the Council, Saint Spyridon returned to his diocese in Tremithous, where he died peacefully in old age. When the Arabs took Cyprus in the middle of the 7th century, Spyridon’s body was disinterred and taken to Constantinople.  It was at the time that the relics were found to be incorrupt which prompted many to believe in his being a saint.

The shrine will stay in Moscow till October 6th and is then to be transferred to St.Petersburg. On October 15th, the relics of Saint Spyridon will be delivered to the Greek island of Corfu, where they have been preserved since the late 1980s.

The question from Formspring
Author: ANNAmain • Date: 05 October 2010 at 11:26 AM No comments

What’s the last thing you want to do before you die? Or, perhaps, you just have some very important plans?

- Thank you for your question! I`ve just thinked about it, about my plans etc. You will be surprised…
It`s enough  of things I do everyday. My days are complete of activity, from painting to creating the system of self-help, from  writing to making lectures. So I feel I do anything in right time and earn a freedom in last moment to go to the sea and seat on the rocks on my hidden place, feel how the rocks growth and the green sea shining.
Despite of all as my last thing I want do nothing. Only feel and sit is silence, listening a nature music in presence of god and be prepared to ultimate freedom.

Hopes I will be able to do it in right time smile

“A full sleeves of happiness” - my happy day
Author: ANNAmain • Date: 26 September 2010 at 01:26 PM Comments(4)

Yesterday it was my happy day. Chinese calls it "A full sleeves of happiness" and it`s an exellent description of my feelings yesterday and today. My lectures was cancelled and I suddenly had a full day for myself. Wow!!! I called to a shop for painters and was lucky to found a rare things - special brushes ant kit for sketches.

The shop was far from my home so I went to the metro and made a picture in my travel sketch-complect with Derwent Aqua-pencils (you can see it on the picture). I saw several kind old ledies (may be from England or US) from a tourist group; they changed the metro lone the same way I did it and at the fial I present the picture to one of them. It is a special feelind to do such things spontaniously, a kind of meditation. Hopes she likes the picture, anyway it was something I did in metro exactly ht time we met each other. smile

One hour before I gaines the shop and found much more I expected. So I bought everything and bless my credit card  smile

Among amazing tools was the great book of modern aquarel technigues, I love it from the first view. Several aqua-brushes made me feel satisfied and confident in future because I like to have a reserve tools for the case my working tool may be lost of broken. It`s a part of my character, may be I inherited it from total deficiency period (damn it!) of Soviet life. Also I bought 2 big size chinese brushes, I have several ideas how to use it in my graphics. In the shop I found a rare small complect of aquarel with water-brush by Kai Sakura company (Japan). Several times I had seen it on sites or pictures, but the first time it was available, so I bought it emmediately! You can see that kavai small kit  over my travel sketch-complect with Derwent Aqua-pencils on the picture. So nice thing with both sharm and funktionality make me exciting!

And after all it was a small present to myself . After the visit to my mother I was back home and started to paint.  It was another happiness. So you can see how a little things produce a big feelings, and how easy to be happy sometimes! smile

At the end this sky I see from my window! smile

So I have to say "Bye-bye" because of the pressure of time. See you later! smile

Krishna: the complex picture step by step
Author: ANNAmain • Date: 20 September 2010 at 11:50 PM Comments(28)
This is step by step guide to illustrate the process of creation a complex picture. In our everyday life we can see a lot of sporty wear but pretty poor details such as jewellery, drapery and decoration. I choose Induism as the great source of deep ideas and beautiful images. This image represents Krishna, 8-th Avatar of Vishnu, painted in classical style.
More then 15 pictures below shows the process.
I used aquarel paper, aquarel colors and pencils; brushes #1, 2 and aqua-brushes size S and M. The work started with the full sketch with all details. Usually I avoid such sketches and paint when I feel all picture in my heart, without pencil`s sketch. But this is so complex picture I need all details symmetrically organized. A started with red rubins on the  crown.

The crown is the most complex jewellery on the picture, with elegant design and precious stones. I did it from the front elements to back.

To make deep shadows on the crown`s design use brown color.

Start to paint gold jewellery of Krishna with light yellow color.

Make shadows of gold on jewellery.

Finish all shadows of gewellery with brown color. It`s the final view.

Start the garland with green leaves separates flowers from each others.

Finish the garland of roses with several shadows of rose colors.

Start to paint Krishna`s zephir with the shadows of red and crimson.

Finish  with red and crimson clolrs.

Krishna wears in Indian trouses called "dhoti". This is a rectangular  fabric winds to the legs and hips and forms a kind of  bloomers. As Krishna is the Avatar of Vishnu, the colors of dhoty is traditionally the same - yellow. I started painting with the light yellow color.

Painting of dhoti is the same as another drapery, with all shadows of gold.

First of all this is the more dark violet color to make shadows formed the picture.

I used 4 colors of blue-violet gamma to draw Krishna`s skin. Before wash out all lines seemed too light, it is normal for aqua pencils.

Wash out pencil`s lines with water-brush (or an ordinary brush as well). Important thing is to wash it along line`s direction.

On that step I used black ink to paint Krishna`s hair. The same ink used for eyes and eyebrows.

The best way to paint the nimbus is to use aqua pencils. It is important to make lines directly around and radially from Krishna`s head. I used 3 colors of yellow.

Wash out the pencil`s lines with water-brush carefully with the direction of lines. Now thw work is complete!

Well, I have to note such work should be a meditation. While you paint details you learn more about it, and partly about youself. Music in New Agw style, meditative music or mantras is the best company for such work. And at the end you should make a step out of work and drop perfectionism. This is not easy to stop as you think to make something better. But the point is to stop anyway and make a glance to the work and say "I did it as perfect as it could be done". Then it will be a real experience inside.
Hot new Graphics: “The Rising”
Author: ANNAmain • Date: 16 September 2010 at 05:48 PM Comments(6)

I started it just in the second moment when had finished "The Great Festival". It was work with full concentration and it was quickly - about several hours. I was trying a new technigue I designet to imitate silk fabric`s effects on the paper.

The picture includes Chinese style painting and represents… You can imagine anything from own associations, it may be symbols of soul teaching or rememberance about a hart time in own life. From my side it is both position. It shows my today depression and feelings of present moment and also have a symbolic meaning. The great advantage of paintings is possibility to show everything in one A4 paper you can observe by one glance. This is why I practice it all of my life.

New Graphics “Great Festival”
Author: ANNAmain • Date: 16 September 2010 at 04:35 PM No comments

Today (may be better to say "that noght, or that early morning? It was about 4 A.M.) I have finished the next Graphics named "Great Festival" and also have made another one ("Rising"). Small picture of "Great Festival" is here, the big one at the end of the post.

The main idea of it is the cycle of spiritual birth and death and the way to escape it. What is the Festival? It`s may be different for diferent people. One selebrates birthday, another - re-births, or the final salutation such as glory death in samurai`s codex.

Is it possible to selebrate the escape from this cycle? What is the way to be out from it? Or may be the knowledge itself is the reason to be selebrated?

If you know it by your own experiance it is the greatest adventure  be worth to celebrate… Levels of understanding, one inside another, deeper and more clear. This is no words to explain it correctly because words forms the 2D line - but experience is 3D, may be 4D. Spiritual feeling that a soul is the same as God and rules body and forms the line of events by it… I can`t tell it is words the way lets me feel satisfy. So I paint it. You can read the visual information and let youself feel it.
